Make Your Art

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but: you are allowed to make your art, and to call yourself an artist. There are no rules on who can create, there are no sections of society whose creations are more valid.

The world will tell you otherwise; it will say you are too working class, you are not the right type of thin, you are too short, too loud, too unsure of your place in the world. Don’t listen. Don’t dumb down your work for sales, likes and mentions (or allow these vapid metrics to dictate your worth).

Paint the canvas, fill the Moleskin, pick up the damn camera. There is no one - in this entire universe, in the vast expanse of time and space before, now, or after you - who can do what you do in the way that you do it. You are allowed to make your art.
